Brutus Magazine Features Alternative Tokyo Guide For Foreigners

In its July 25th issue, Japan's popular magazine "Brutus" features a Tokyo guide to entertain foreigners. The 50-page special story introduces unknown fun spots in Tokyo such as an outdoor bath with splendid views in Kabukicho, a public toilet that looks like a traditional Japanese tavern, etc. The selection is limited in quantity but the pages are enjoyable with interesting pictures. Stories on the 1,000 yen dinner spots as well as the guide of restaurants and delis where people stand in line have great tips for hip budget travelers. It also has an art scene section. Usually "Brutus is a Japanese magazine. However, this special story is written in English/Japanese bilingual. It offers an alternative Tokyo guide for people who are attracted to kitsch and pop Tokyo culture.
